This Pretoria native who exchanged her life of music and stages for a family life is determined to take the stage again after a hiatus of about a decade. With a happy family life and raising children, her performances was set aside for the time being. Formerly known as Bianca Pienaar (now Bianca De Bruyn). She is currently a successful businesswoman with her own graphic design, social media marketing & web design business.
This pop-rock sensation that has been compared to Avril Lavigne in South Africa and with her Pink influenced style this ordinary girl next door with a voice range of note will take on any genre with ease. Her dream is to do a Roxette ‘tribute’.
With her first album ‘Obsessie’, Bianca already attracted a lot of attention at a young age and worked with some of our top songwriters, musicians and award-winning producers such as Floors Oosthuizen, Mauritz Lotz, Vinnie Henrico and Sean Manley. Since her glory days, Bianca has been nominated for several of our country’s biggest music awards, including Vonk Music’s Album of the Year.
Sexy and feet firmly grounded, Bianca herself confirms that her music is not aimless common Afrikaans music but that her music and lyrics should express meaning and feeling.
Bianca’s formal music training is for sure still fresh in her memory and for talent like this there is definitely room for her in the South African music industry again. Bianca will be back on stage soon and the public can get ready for electricity when you hear her shoes walking the stage again. Nothing beats experience!
